What events from Christ's life are symbolized in baptism?
Christ physically died to represent the death of sin that must occur. He raised from the dead having power over death and sin. He prepared a way that we can all overcome death and sin.
Considering the symbolism, why couldn’t someone be baptized by sprinkling
Baptism by immersion is symbolic of burying the sin or the death of sin. After being fully immersed, they are brought forth out of the water symbolizing a new birth.
What do these verses teach us about how we can maintain the newness of life?
These verses teach us how we can maintain the newness of life by yielding yourselves unto God, let not sin reign in your mortal bodies.

The natural man.

Who’s servants are we?
The natural man is the servant of sin. When we are freed from sin, we become servants of righteousness. We want to be a servent of rightousness at all times. When we are following the commandments we are a servent of righteousness.
True sources of freedom
True freedom is found in righteousness and obeying the commandments. If we do this we will be happy and will have our freedom. Through the atonement we can free ourselves from sin.
